  • Beyond forgiveness? Always.

It's true that Jesus' love and grace is endless, and it's also true that He is just. So which one of these takes precedent? Is there a limit to his patience, his gratitude, and his tolerance?

I hope there's not a limit -- but incidences in the Bible tell us otherwise. Perhaps his love is revealed to us in ways we aren't accustomed to, ways which give the faulted feelings of abandonment and punishment. But then again, haven't we all heard "I'm doing this because I love you". I suppose he's the prime example of that statement.

But what if we push him to the limit daily? What happens when we tick him off with all that we do? How will he react if we consume his last drop of forgiveness, if possible? Does he even have a last drop? And what if we do all these things in full knowledge of our wrongdoing and we feel hints of remorse, but no will or determination to act upon our conscience... what then have we become? In essence, we've taken his being for granted. "God is love"... and I've taken complete advantage of his holiest characteristic.

I'm beyond forgiveness, yet he continues to uplift me when I acknowledge his existence... I really hope ceilings cease to exist in his eyes.
