  • Love has a cataract,

and if it didn't, I wouldn't know how to make sense of the world. How would I be able to explain why odd-couples last? Why mothers of rapists, serial killers, and terrorists still find their sons to be the most precious things in the world? And why a creator of things detestable, fickle, selfish, and prideful would still seek to know and love his creation?

The idea of attraction is simply amazing. It proves personal design, it trumps the false belief that pretty girls can get whatever they want (thank God), and it sets the prideful back to a level place. Our personal tastes in personal likings makes the world go 'round. It swerves around the conflict of having all the men on Earth fighting 'till death for a very small batch of barbie-dolls. Love, as we know it and as God has created it, allows us to live.

Fact: nobody is perfect. For whatever reason you WILL have at least one enemy on this planet. And so that one true love who completes you body & soul is like a a persistent itch in another's sock. Perhaps you don't notice your loved one's faults or fail to admit them. Or maybe your special-someone is really that special -- to you, at least. Humans are different. We've been mapped by different blueprints, so it only makes sense that we're going to disagree on one thing or another.

Love exists in blindness of fault. And I suppose a blurred vision would suffice too.
